NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA - AUGUST 23: Gardner Minshew #15 of the Jacksonville Jaguars reacts after a missed throw against the New Orleans Saints at Caesars Superdome on August 23, 2021 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The QB Factory keeps churning! Eagles have added Gardner Minshew to the QB via a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. They send back a conditional 6th round pick, that can turn into a 5th round pick if Minshew plays 50% of the snaps in 3 games this season. To make room for Minshew they have released Nick Mullens.

Minshew has 2 years left on his contract. He will get $850k this year, and $960k in 2022. In his career, Minshew has 37 touchdowns and 11 interceptions across 23 games.

He beat out Nick Foles for a job his rookie year in Jacksonville, but then couldn’t keep the job his second year, leading to the Jaguars getting the first overall pick and drafting Trevor Lawrence. He will slot in as the 3rd QB on the depth chart, and most likely push Joe Flacco for the number 2 spot.
