Donovan McNabb thinks that Sundays Cowboys game could be a defining moment of Wentz’s young career so far
Donovan McNabb joined the Farzetta & Tra morning show on Monday morning at 9:30 to talk about the Eagles win over the Redskins & a look ahead to the all important Cowboys game this Sunday!
"As far as the Eagles are concerned, this game vs. Dallas could be the turning point of Wentz's career, he's finally playing for something where he can opportunity to play in his first playoff game. If they lose, it could be devastating." - @donovanjmcnabb #flyeaglesfly

Donovan like a majority of the fan base has been encouraged the last two weeks by Carson Wentz’s end of game performance, a negative stigma that has hung over Carson’s young career. Sunday marked his 6th 4th quarter come from behind victory as the Eagles QB & some could make the case it should be more if Atlanta, Detroit & New England were able to be pulled off this year. Hopefully Wentz has now calmed the fears of those fans that thing he doesn’t posses the “clutch” gene because the last two weeks, regardless of the opponents, he’s shown you that he can be very clutch when it matters most. 15-15 in game winning situations & literally perfect. Now let’s hope the rest of the game goes better on Sunday so Carson doesn’t need to lead them from behind again.
Donovan thinks this teams biggest need right now doesn’t have anything to do with the offense or the QB, but the defense which has been suffering the last three weeks. The defense has now allowed 37 points to pretty bad offensive teams in Washington & Miami & was forced to take the New York Giants to OT to win. The defense hasn’t been getting it done currently & that could be the bigger story line on Sunday rather than the play of Carson Wentz.
"My worry isn't so much Carson but the passing attack & what the defense has allowed now to Miami, NY & Washington, they've gotta figure something out" - @donovanjmcnabb

He’s right, Carson & the offense have put enough points over the last 3 weeks to win most NFL games but the defense hasn’t been matching their effort. The Eagles have never beaten the Cowboys when Ezekiel Elliot is playing in the game & they’re going to face one of the leagues best RBs again on Sunday in hopes of breaking that streak. Doug Pederson is 2-5 vs. the Cowboys in his career as coach, so not only is this game important for the defense, it’s very important for the head coach & maybe most importantly for the QB of the Eagles.
This just in: this is the biggest game of Carson Wentz’s career. Undeniable facts. Go Birds!
When Donovan was asked if he thinks the Eagles will win the game on Sunday…
"I do, I do, I do. From what I've seen from Carson from an individual standpoint, I'm impressed. He's doing it at the right time, he's playing at a high level" - @donovanjmcnabb on if the Eagles beat Dallas next weekend
