76ers Coach Tapped to Lead Australian Team at Tokyo Olympics
Brett Brown is headed for Tokyo.
The Philadelphia 76ers coach has been selected to replace Andrej Lemanis as the head of Basketball Australia, which has qualified to participate in the Tokyo Olympics. It won’t mark Brown’s first rodeo with the Australian team; he also served as head coach for the London Olympics, handing over the gig to Lemanis afterward.
Now Lemanis has stepped down to give the job back to Brown. Brown won’t be the only American on the Australian team at the Olympics. The roster of players includes Utah’s Joe Ingles and Dante Exum, Cleveland’s Matthew Dellavedova and San Antonio’s Patty Mills.
