Here Is The Phillies’ Opening Day Roster

Opening day is here! It’s time for the Phillies to start off their much anticipated 2022 campaign, and here is the full list of players that they have available as they head into the regular season:

  • Catchers

    JT Realmuto and Garrett Stubbs will do the work behind the dish this season, with Realmuto as the starter

  • Infield

    Rhys Hoskins, Jean Segura, Didi Gregorius, Alec Bohm, Johan Camargo, Bryson Stott will fill out the infield for the Phillies this year. Hoskins will start at 1B and Segura will start at 2B. Didi Gregorius should spend the majority of the time at SS with Bohm and Stott splitting time over at the hot corner. Camargo comes in as a utility infielder.

  • Outfield

    Nick Castellanos, Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber, Mickey Moniak, and Matt Vierling are listed as the outfielders for this year’s team, but that is set to potentially change with Moniak breaking his hand in the Phillies’ final spring training game. With Moniak out, Vierling should start in CF with Harper in RF and Castellanos sharing time with Schwarber in LF

  • Starting Pitchers

    Aaron Nola, Zack Wheeler, Zach Eflin, Ranger Suarez, and Kyle Gibson will all be in the starting rotation for the 2022 season. Suarez is the only left handed starter on the team this season, but it looks to be an above average group for this year.

  • Relief Pitchers

    Jose Alvarado (L), Bailey Falter (L), Brad Hand (L), Damon Jones (L), Cristopher Sanchez (L), Connor Brogdon, Seranthony Dominguez, Jeurys Familia, Corey Knebel, and Nick Nelson will be the Phils’ options out of the bullpen. Believe it or not, the normally lefty-averse Phillies are bringing in 5 left handers and 5 right handers. Hopefully this unit will be improved even further from 2021.
