The joy of beer festivals is an exhilarating experience that brings together beer lovers to celebrate their shared passion for the hoppy beverage. At beer festivals, brewers take center stage, proudly presenting their finest creations to an eager audience. The process of crafting beer is elevated to an art form, and attendees can witness the craftsmanship and innovation that go into every pint. From traditional brewing techniques to bold experimental flavors, each sip becomes an experience. But which beer festivals are the best in the nation?

To curate a list of the best beer festivals, USA Today, 10Best sought input from a panel of beer experts who nominated their top picks. Following this process, readers were encouraged to vote for their preferred festivals, allowing for a collective determination of the favorites.

Among the festivals featured on their list, cities like Denver, Colorado, Madison, Wisconsin, and Washington, D.C. were highlighted. Notably, Pennsylvania secured two spots on the list for its own beer festivals.

Two Pennsylvania cities rank top 10.

Ranked at an impressive number 9 on the list, is the Philly Bierfest. The beloved celebration was founded by Philadelphia's German Society in 2011. Honoring Pennsylvania's cultural ties with Germany, the festival showcases traditional German-style brews crafted by local Pennsylvania brewers and features esteemed German importers. One of the site's readers shared that "Since the return from the pandemic [hiatus], this event has emerged as one of the best."

Pennsylvania secures another victory with Barrel & Flow Fest in Pittsburgh, claiming the number 1 spot on the list. USA Today, 10Best showcased this festival for its outstanding dedication to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment. "Some 3,000 craft beer industry professionals and enthusiasts come together for a weekend celebrating Black-owned breweries, with collaborations with Black artists and entrepreneurs from throughout Pennsylvania," they wrote.
