Summer is a great time to enjoy a flavorful brew. Actually, any season is the perfect time to enjoy a tasty brew. So, what are you waiting for? Now, one Pennsylvania brewery has been named the best brewery in Pennsylvania.
Breweriesinpa.com has released a list of the best breweries in the Keystone State via Untapped. "It's finally July, which means we've come to the middle point of the year, and after all of these months of drinking Pennsylvania made craft beer and frantically checking in those purchases on Untappd, the list of top breweries in the state is starting to take shape," they state. "We've crunched the numbers and below are the top 10 breweries according to Untappd for the first half of 2023." Are you ready to get your drinking on? Of course, drink responsibly.
Before we get to No. 1, note that the No. 1 brewery in Pennsylvania is The Referend Bier Blendery. They note that is is an out-of-state brewery that calls the Commonwealth home. "The Referend Bier Blendery practices the 'neglected art' of waiting, of letting nature run its course, to produce a beer of depth and character, inimitable through technological shortcuts or chemical interference," That means they naturally develop wild beers on their own timeline. Total production times are from nine months to five years. It's worth the wait, though.
The No. 1 best brewery in Pennsylvania, according to the study, is Other Half Brewing. "One of the country's most exciting craft breweries decided to call Pennsylvania home when it opened a brewery in the former Goose Island location in 2022," Breweriesinpa.com explains. "New York based Other Half Brewing has been brewing in Philadelphia for several months now and has already become a popular destination." Find the full list of the best breweries in the state here.
