Anthony’s Opening Diatribe- The Sixers Have Me Depressed
In his Opening Diatribe this Morning, Anthony reacted to the Sixer’s loss and discussed why the Sixers have him feeling depressed…
“This Stinks. I would love to say Good Morning and give you the warmest hug. But I can’t. I have to tell you, I am completely disgusted with the Sixers. Im depressed… That game last night was just ugly. I kind of figured they would have a Boston hangover. When you play your heart out in those two games, Memphis and Boston, then lose to Boston. Now you have to come back two days later, you will have that type of game. But honestly, it is no excuse. It is what it is. Just a gross effort. Lackluster. Quite frankly, I feel beaten, and depressed…
I am just depressed today. The game was ugly… It was disjointed. Once again the bench was bad. There are some issues going forward. It is less last night. Because I know last night there was a hangover effect. Look even Boston had a hangover after their game vs us Saturday. They lost to the Knicks by double digits. Tatum did not play well. Jaylen Brown didn’t play. But Tatum didn’t play well and didn’t shoot the ball well. The Knicks beat them up pretty badly. That is the nature of the NBA in February and March. But it is still about the playoffs. And there still seems to be something that is a tick off with this team. It is close, but something feels off.
And then you start to think oh man, the Eagles lost the Super Bowl. I go back to the Super Bowl and how excruciating that loss was. So you have to bare with me today.”
