The Midday Show With Andrew Salciunas – Weekdays 10am – 2pm

Weekdays 10am-2pm

PHILADELPHIA, PA - OCTOBER 17: Quarterback Donovan McNabb #5 of the Philadelphia Eagles is sacked by Michael Rucker #93 and Brentson Buckner #99 of the Carolina Panthers on October 17, 2004 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

See what Andrew Salciunas Found in the Audio Vault today. They continued going through past Eagles playoff games, today running through the games in the 2003-2004 season.

The Eagles Beat the Packers in the 2003-2004 Divisional Round

The Eagles started their 2003-2004 playoff run in a historic fashion. With a comeback win over the Packers. It is a game probably now best known for 4th and 26 which they played in the Vault last week on its anniversary. They were down 14-0 at one point. And later they were down 17-14 with one drive to come back. But they converted a 4th and 26, kicked the game-tying field goal, and later a game-winning one in OT. And from this game, Andrew pulled the Joe Buck preview of the game before it started, and then the Brian Dawkins pick in OT that set up the game-winning field goal.

Eagles Fall to Panthers in 200-3-2004 NFC Championship Game

It was the Eagles’ third time in the NFC Championship. And as we all know, it did not go much better than their first or second tries vs the Rams. If the Rams and Bucs one hurt, this one killed us. At least the last time they were playing a good Rams team with a hall of fame Qb in Kurt Warner. With the Bucs, they lost to a historic defense. This time they lost to Jake Delhomme. And it was an ugly game. They lost 14-3, with Mcnabb throwing 3 picks. Delhomme threw for just 101 yards, and nearly a quarter of them came on one TD pass to Muhsin Muhammad. Andrew grabbed that TD, and the introduction to the game, out of the Audio Vault for us today.

Other Stuff in the Vault

Andrew also got a few things that happened on this day in history for the Vault too. Including the NHL All-Star Game taking place at the Spectrum in 1992, and Titanic winning Best Picture at the Golden Globes. So Andrew got the very cool Philly themed into to that All-Star Game, and then a scene from Titanic where Rose lets Jack die for no reason even though there was plenty of room on the floating debris for both of them.
