Anthony Gargano Discussed His Fear of San Francisco In His Opening Diatribe This Morning…
I was talking to my cousin last night. He had me fired up. I have to admit, this week I have been a little tepid. Like I do think they are going to win the opening game. But I am a tad fearful of San Francisco. I have been fearful of San Francisco all year, to be honest with you. There is something about the matchup I am not in love with. That doesn’t mean I don’t think they can beat with San Francisco. I just am a little fearful. Especially if Jalen’s should is not right.
So he and I were talking. He goes San Francisco is good, but stop. You are still looking at a kid who was Mr.Irrelavnt. Is Brock Purdy really going to beat you? It is one thing to play well in the regular season as a game manager. But you know better than anyone that come playoff time it is a different beast. He is telling me, I don’t get your fear. And it kind of gave me a different way of looking at it. I felt better talking to my cousin about it. All Week long I had this fear. But I woke up today and I felt pretty confident. I felt like it could be Buffalo- Eagles Superbowl. Which would be the perfect matchup.
Kansas City vs Eagles would be great too. But there was a headline on ESPN. The headline was “If You Love Buffalo, Buffalo Will Love You Back”. And that is Philadelphia. That is Philadelphia to a tee. If you love Philadelphia, Philadelphia will love you back. And I would love to see Eagles-Bills. That would be an awesome Super Bowl.
All I keep thinking about is the road to the Superbowl. I want Eagles-Cowboys. I want the Cowboys, I want to start the playoffs Eagles-Cowboys at the Linc. And then if it is San Fran so be it. Bleep Brock Purdy. That is my playoff wish.
