PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA – OCTOBER 14: Aaron Nola #27 of the Philadelphia Phillies walks back to the dugout after closing out the top of the sixth inning against the Atlanta Braves in game three of the National League Division Series at Citizens Bank Park on October 14, 2022 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

It has been reported that Aaron Nola will be the starter for game 1 vs the Astors in the World Series. But is that the right move? Who would you have started?
There are arguments to be had on both sides. For Zack Wheeler, he has been unshakable. Through 4 starts, he has allowed just 5 earned runs. And to be fair, you can only blame him for one of those earned runs. The HR he gave up to Juan Soto is on him. But 3 of his runs came after what should have been an error on Rhys Hoskins. And the 5th run came in because of some wild pitching by Seranthony Dominguez. But pitching Friday for him would be just 4 days' rest again.
As for Nola, outside the start in San Diego, he has been stellar. But that start is our most recent memory of him. He was an ace against the Braves and the Cardinals. So who is the real Aaron Nola? We saw Nola pitch one of the best games of his career in the playoff-clinching game the last time he faced the Astros. Could there be more of that from him? And he hasn't pitched since Game 2 vs the Padres, so maybe Rob Thomson doesn't want him sitting for an extra day.
With all that said, who would you have started? Would you have stuck with Wheeler, or would you go with Nola like Thomson is doing? Maybe you would want Ranger Suarez to start game 1. We asked, and you answered.
