The Sixers just announced that they have signed center Dewayne Dedmon to a 10-day contract. Dedmon (7-0, 255) left USC after his junior year but went undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft. He played for Miami in the Orlando Pro Summer League and for Dallas in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas before joining Golden State for training camp and preseason.
He started 15 games for the Santa Cruz Warriors for the D-League this season, and averaged 15 points, a league-high 13.5 rebounds and over two blocks while shooting 54% from the floor.
Dedmon averaged 7.1 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in his college career.
He effectively takes the place of the recently waived Daniel ‘Not Randy’ Orton.
