Today is the first Dollar Dog Night of the season at Citizens Bank Park. I think about the "glory days" of Phillies baseball from 2012 to 2016, also known as my college years. The team stunk, tickets were dirt cheap, and dollar dog nights would be an easy dinner. My record was 9, I bought 10, and for the first time in my life, couldn't finish the food in front of me. If I really put my mind to it, I could still get 9 down and maybe push for that 10th, but with the pitch clock, who knows how many I could actually eat.

I decided to ask around the station to see how many they think they could eat on Dollar Dog Night if they actually tried:

The John Kincade Show

John Kincade - 5
Bob Cooney - Didn't answer. Didn't respect my intense deadline on this story. I thought us journalists stuck together. Sad.
Pat Egan - 5
Connor Thomas - 8

The Anthony Gargano Show

Anthony Gargano - 6
Yours truly - Just to beat Connor, 9

The Best Show Ever

Tyrone Johnson aka the man who doesn't eat meat - 13!!!
Hunter Brody - 8
Jenn Scordo - 2
Dylan Mackinnon - 10
Ricky Bottalico - Like Bob Cooney, didn't answer. He must be jealous of my incredible baseball career. Jealousy shouldn't get in the way of friendship.

The Devon Givens Show

Devon Givens - 5
Tom Alvord - "I could get double digits easy"
Ray Dunne - "5 or 6. Depends on the beverage situation."

Other Members of the Station

Jamie Lynch - 6 "7 would be my max". Come on softy, get to 8.
Matt Minarik - 7
Tyler Zulli - 6
Mike Vito - 8
Andrew Salciunas, “The Choonis,” has done it all at the station - screening calls, working events as a member of the street team, producing 7 days a week, doing updates, and now hosting his own show. Now with a wife and kid, his life experiences are far different than when he first started, but this “regular guy” knows how to relate to anyone. He writes about the Flyers, Phillies, Sixers, and Eagles.
