  • Happy Birthday Johnny McEnroe

    Today is the 64th birthday of Johnny McEnroe. The Bad Boy of Tennis was just as well known for his tirades on the court, as his great play on it. He made a name for himself with the occasional freakout when something did not go his way. And in honor of his Birthday, Andrew grabbed one of those tirades to play in the Audio Vault today.

     

  • 2005 NHL Season Canceled

    On this day in 2005, the NHL season was canceled. The season had been locked out due to a contentious CBA negotiation. The NHL wanted to implement a hard cap like the NFL. But the players were not willing to agree with that. So on February 16th, the season was finally just canceled. meaning for the first time in around 90- years, there was not a Stanley Cup awarded. To mark the occasion, Andrew pulled Gary Bettmanns very irritating press conference announcing the season was canceled, where he selected most of the blame to the players and acted like none of it was the league’s fault.

  • Happy Birthday Brett Brown

    And it is also Brett Brown’s Birthday. The longtime Sixers coach got us through the process years, and into the start of the Embiid-Simmons era. Things were not always easy for us, but he always carried himself with class despite being the person responsible for what may be the darkest part of Sixers’ history. And to honor his Birthday, Andrew played some of his most iconic press conference moments, such as “Star Hunting”, “James Butler,” and asking Ben Simmons to shoot 1 3 a game (Ben never complied).
