During the Afternoon show Tyrone, Jenn, and Connor played a fun game with listeners. The “GOAT” draft.  The criteria is simple. Pick a team compiled of the “Greatest of All Time.” The listeners got the first pick in the draft so we will start off with the listener list. Be on the look out tomorrow (Tuesday) when we unveil the shows GOAT squad!

The Afternoon Show’s Greatest of All Time List

Here are who the listeners chose.

Lebron James was chosen by Dave in Center City.

Lebron is arguably the greatest basketball player of all time so he is pretty deserving of this selection.

Kobe is not only one of the best players from this area, but with 5 championships hes in the GOAT conversation.

  • 3) Deion Sanders

Deion Sanders was chosen by Raquon in Philly.

Deion is one of the best athletes to ever live. A Pro-Bowl level corner and then went pro in baseball as well.

  • 4) Jim Thorpe

Jim Thorpe was chosen by Marty in Harrisburg.

What a BUST OUT! And a GREAT pick. Thorpe dominated EVERY sport he played. Most think of the town when they hear his name but the athlete was a tour de force.

  • 5) Serena Williams

Serena Williams was chosen by Steve in West Chester.

Serena is the greatest female tennis player EVER. And if you want to make the case that she is the greatest tennis player ever (male of female) you wont hear many people argue with you.

  • Arnold Palmer

Arnold Palmer was chosen by Stacey in Philly.

Before Tiger Woods, there was Arnold Palmer. Its not just a deliciously refreshing drink! Palmer has a case for being the best golfer to ever live.

  • 7) Bo Jackson

Bo Jackson was chosen by Greg in Bethlehem.

Vincent “Bo” Jackson was the first overall pick in the NFL. He then was a 4th round pick by the Royals and he would have been drafted higher but teams believed he wouldnt play and would focus on football. He didnt. This is a guy who’s “summer job” was playing in the NFL. Bo Knows!

  • 8) Derek Jeter

Derek Jeter was chosen by Chuck in the North East.

“The Captain” was the leader of the Yankees dynasty. Unbelievable plays and a legacy that was capped off with his 3000 hit being a home run. An All-Time great for sure!

The true home run king. A legendary figure. The greatest homerun hitter ever?

  • 13) Floyd Mayweather

  • 14) Jesse Owens

Jesse Owens was chosen by Muhammed on the cell.

Jesse Owens is arguably the greatest track and field star to ever live. Going to the 1936 Olympics and dominating in front of Hitler. That is certainly GOAT status.

  • 15) Allen Iverson

Allen Iverson was chosen by Dread in Norristown

Flowing with talent, but also one of the toughest athlete to ever lace them up. At pick 30 its not a horrible selection at all.

  • 16) Zydrunas Savickas

Zydrunas Savickas was chosen by Dan in Norristown.

If I have to google the name he is probably not deserving. But there is always someone who wants to be SO different and Dan in Norristown certainly nailed it….

Mike Tyson earned his nickname of “The Baddest Man on the Planet.” In terms of power punchers, hes got GOAT status for sure.
