Today is the final day of the NFL Draft. Before the start of round 1, the Eagles had no picks in rounds 4, 5, and 6, and had two in round 7. That has since changed and we saw that early this morning. After a day-two trade that landed Howie Roseman and the Eagles a 6th-round pick, Roseman traded a third-round pick in next year’s draft to land a 4th-round pick today.
That led to the Eagles selecting their 3rd Georgia Bulldog in this draft alone. This comes off of last year’s draft where the Eagles selected Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean out of the same University. Over the last 3 drafts now, the plan has been simple. Draft good players from successful programs, and the majority of those are from the SEC.
Not taking a shot at Howie Roseman here because he has done a tremendous job cleaning up the mess left by Carson Wentz, but… WE TOLD YOU SO!!! Sometimes it is good not to overthink it. As of the end of last season, here are the 7 college football programs with the most players in the NFL and who the Eagles have from those schools.
