  • Flyers Beat Canadiens To Advance To Stanley Cup in 2010

    Remember when Hockey was fun in Philly? Well on this day in history, it was very fun. It marks the day in 2010 when the Flyers beat the Canadiens to advance to the Stanley Cup. They beat them 4-2 to close out the series in 5 games. So Andrew played the Jeff Carter goal with 20 seconds left that made it 4-2 to put the game away, and then what it sounded like when the horn sounded to seal the deal for the Flyers advancing. it was the last time the Flyers advanced past the Eastern Conference.

    Today would have been Pelle Lindbergh’s Birthday, had he not sadly passed away far too young. His promising career was taken away when he sadly passed away in a car accident. He was the first European Goaltender to be drafted in the NHL, and first to have real success in the league too. So Andrew played some Lindbergh highlights
