Flyers Sweep In California Road Trip
By: Haley Taylor Simon
The Flyers make ways in 2023 with sweeping their first ever California road trip. The Flyers were without Carter Hart as he was previously placed on the IR due to an upper body injury. Samuel Errson was in net and played an outstanding three games that gave the Flyers the boost to continue successful play.
The real star factor has been Travis Konecny who not only is leading the team in points, but has been the top scorer to give the Flyers life post their 10 game winless streak. Arguments could be made that Konecny could be the Flyers’ next captain.

Philadelphia’s had a flukey season due to injuries such as Cam Atkinson and Ryan Ellis who won’t be returning this season. A lot of eyes were put on head coach, John Tortorella, to turn this team around and there is evidence that the effort and confidence on the ice has been significantly better than last season.
Heading back to South Philly with a winning streak isn’t a bad way to start of the new year on home ice. The Flyers host the Arizona Coyotes who they previously lost to in overtime last month.
The challenge Philadelphia has is to maintain this high-energy level of play as they preformed out in the west. There is still no word if Hart will be in net Thursday night. More information to follow.
