Welp….it can only go up from here. The Stan Drayton era started off like the Titanic’s maiden voyage. To be fair, the Titanic had a better performance because they were golden for a 4 day stretch. Temple’s offense was flat and their defense wasn’t much better. They did tighten it up in the second half but by that point they put the team in a 30 point hole.
With that being said, this was (to a point) to be expected. Drayton was left with a bare cupboard and he has to rebuild. So no one should put too much stock into the loss at Duke. Its not GREAT, but its not a sign that the Drayton era will be a failure. Not even close.
