Temple football kicks off their season on Friday September 2nd against Duke. The game will be at 7:30 and can be heard on 97.5 the Fanatic. But this game signifies the beginning of the Stan Drayton era. Drayton, who’s resume includes both prominent college programs and a few different stops in the NFL, will be manning the sidelines as head coach for the first time in his career.
There is reason for hope on North Broad under Drayton. Drayton’s recruiting and his ability to connect to the players has always been one of his strengths. One of the players he recruited was Eagles great Brian Westbrook when Drayton coached Westbrook at Villanova. While the Owls arent predicted to be a bowl team, the future APPEARS to be bright.
John DiCarlo from Owlscoop.com joined Pat Egan to break down the difference between this year’s team as opposed to last years team, and preview the game against Duke. Listen to the full interview below!
Howie Roseman's BEST Trades
On Wednesday Howie Roseman righted a wrong by trading Jalen Reagor to the Vikings for a 2023 7th round pick and a 2024 conditional 4th round pick. It may end up turning into a 5th round pick, but considering Reagor had no spot on the Eagles then the value is great. But no GM loves trades MORE than Howie Roseman. and “Trader Howie” is at it again this season already!
Howie Roseman was promoted to Eagles GM in 2010 and he held the title until 2014 when Chip Kelly made him go to the basement and polish trophies that didn’t exist. In 2019 he returned to the role as GM and has been there ever since.
These arent in any particular order, but these are some of the best trades Howie Roseman has made since being the GM of the team.
