Yesterday Sixers fans rejoiced as the long Ben Simmons saga finally ended. Not only was he shipped out of town, but the Sixers got back a player they long coveted in James Harden. The Sixers traded Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, and two first round picks, to acquire Harden and Paul Millsap. Local fans and local media alike praised the deal. But on the National level, there were people who did not seem to be on board with the Sixers move. One of those people was Stephen A Smith, who had this to say about the deal the Sixers made.

Needless to say it caused a bit of outrage back here in Philly. So Mike Missanelli brought Stephen A Smith on to explain himself earlier today, and the conversation did not disappoint. Mike and Stephen A went at it arguing over the trade. Here is what Stephen A Smith had to say when he joined the Mike Missanelli Show!

"It's not the greatness that they gave up. it's the fact that if you have KD and Kyrie, they needed a defender, Simmons. They needed an additional shooter... Seth Curry. They needed additional girth and mass on their frontline who could rebound... Andre Drummond. You made the Brooklyn Nets significantly stronger, and they're standing in your way."- Stephen A Smith
