Nick Castellanos is a really good baseball player. Hes had the misfortune of being on some bad teams, but the guy is a doubles machine. Hes made his way to Cincinnati and has been raking this season. He hit his 10th home run of the season this weekend but this one was a little different. Because Castellanos had some added motivation. The Commissioner.
The whole story came out during the post game interview when Castellanos oddly threw the interview to a fan who he fist bumped with after hitting the home run. The fan told the reporter that he yelled at Nick to pretend the baseball was MLB commissioner Rob Manfred's face. The next pitch was belted over the wall.
By having the fan tell the story Castellanos wisely avoided a fine. But this also tells you how universally disliked Rob Manfred is.
