The John Kincade Show hosts its First Friday broadcast in front of a live audience every month. The September First *Football* Friday featured Philadelphia Eagles beat reporters Tim McManus and Geoff Mosher along with a rowdy cast of characters to get ready for a Week 1 matchup against the New England Patriots.
Eagles Fans Fired Up for 2023
Football Fridays on 97.5 The Fanatic will feature top guests and analysis throughout the 2023 NFL season. John Kincade, Bob Cooney, Pat Egan, and Connor Thomas brought in the right guests to fire up a crowd for Week 1.
Vince Rizzuto of Philly Sports Trips joined to talk about plans for road trips in 2023, highlighted by 97.5 The Fanatic’s trip to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game on September 25. “The Philly Sports Guy” did what he does best, firing up the crowd with a booming E-A-G-L-E-S early on a Friday morning.
Tailgate DJ EROCK also woke up bright and early to join the festivities. Andrew Salciunas even jumped in to talk about a feud with Ray Dunne on The Anthony Gargano Show.
Eagles Beat Reporters
Tim McManus, who covers the Eagles for ESPN, spoke about his recent story on Jalen Carter. The ninth-overall pick once threw a “knockout punch” at former teammate Quay Walker while the two were members of the Georgia Bulldogs in 2020.
Carter’s past doesn’t mean he’s not ready for an NFL career with the Philadelphia Eagles.
“You have to build up a rapport with him (Carter), a trust level with him in order for him to kind of get on board with what you’re doing. Once you get him to that place, according to some people close to him, then you have him.” -McManus
Geoff Mosher of Inside the Birds talked about an offensive attack with the potential to set the league on fire. He mentioned tremendous respect for Nick Sirianni.
“Whatever they’ve got for you, the Eagles have a way to counterpunch. Not a lot of teams are that offensively balanced…The Eagles, I think offensively, are as complete as any team I’ve seen in quite a while.” -Mosher
He also broke down the potential strengths and weaknesses of Nakobe Dean as a starting linebacker. His comparison of Nick Sirianni to Doug Pederson also offered insight that fans can’t miss.
