(00:00-15:09) On today’s best of The Mike Missanelli Show, Mike starts off reacting to the news over the weekend that Joel Embiid will be out for at least the first two games of the series versus the Miami Heat. He talks about what the Sixers might do in his absence and what personnel will be used to fill the hole in the lineup. Mike then talks about the Eagles draft and how he feels they did overall. They added some potentially good pieces but was it enough? Tyron and Jen weigh in with their thoughts.
(15:20-17:23) Jen introduces both of today’s Twitter poll. What grade do you give the Eagles draft class? Your choices are a simple A, B, C, D. The second poll asks what is your Sixers vs Heat prediction? The options are Heat in 4-5, Sixers in 4-5, Heat in 6-7, and Sixers in 6-7. Mike, Tyrone and Jen share their thoughts.
(17:24-27:00) Sixers beat reporter for the Philadelphia Inquirer, Keith Pompey joins the show to talk about the Sixers round two series against the Heat. There is no date for Embiid’s return. He still has to clear concussion protocol. He doesn’t blame Doc Rivers for keeping Embiid in the game which led to the injury. Even with Embiid out, he still believes they can split down in Miami.
(27:09-36:43) Eagles beat reporter for NBC Sports Philadelphia, Dave Zangaro, joins the show to break down the Eagles draft over the weekend. His biggest surprise is Nkobe Dean falling to the Eagles in the third round. He also believes the Eagles had the best draft in the NFC East.
