‘Sports Illustrated’ Model Molly Sims Discusses Posing at 51

They say 50 is the new 30, or at least they should. So many stars are looking amazing as they grow older, some with the help of surgery, but others are doing it naturally. Model, actress, and entrepreneur Molly Sims is one of the ladies out there who is looking incredible as she gets into her 50s. Sims recently appeared in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue's 60th anniversary edition, along with other big names, such as Christie Brinkley, Gayle King and Paulina Porizkova. Now, she's opening up about the experience and explaining why she wasn't going into the photo shoot pretending to be something she's not. Molly Sims on Posing at 51 in Sports Illustrated In a fresh interview with Us Weekly, Molly Sims discusses aging and posing in the new Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. She also revealed a compliment that she actually finds insulting. "I hate when people are like, 'Oh, my God. She looks good for 50,'" Sims, 51, told the magazine. "Listen, I'm not trying to look 30. I'm definitely not trying to look 20. I am trying to look the best that I can." Molly Sims' interview was in conjunction with the promotion of her skincare brand, YSE Beauty. Skincare is a big part of how Sims stays so youthful looking, and it also makes her feel good on the inside, too. In the interview, she said that YSE is about "education and wellness." It's also about "living your best life." She added that YSE was created out of a terrible situation "that I had gotten myself into with my skin and hyperpigmentation and unevenness. A lot of things that I was using, they didn’t have efficacy." Now, she says that YSE gives her efficacy without "messing up the barrier." Sims has also discussed the aging process on Instagram. In a recent post, she said, "Because the woman I am today is so much more than the 20-something-year-old girl in a swimsuit. I'm a mother. A wife. A friend. An entrepreneur. The hardest days always turn out to be some of the greatest because age has taught me how to persevere. How to fight. How to evolve and pivot." She also talked about the Sports Illustrated shoot, writing, "This shoot is celebrating all the LEGENDS that have graced these incredible pages of Sports Illustrated for decades. These women are legends not because they look stellar in a swimsuit (which they do, let’s be honest) but because of everything they have accomplished since the first time they graced these pages."
