Game 3 was fun. A lot of fun actually. They won 10-2, meaning they now need just one more win to eliminate the Braves and Advance to the NLCS. It would be the 2nd straight season they made it to the NLCS. But this time they would have a home-field advantage. Which as we saw last night, makes a big difference. The Phillies flourish in the raucous environment of Citizens Bank Park.
To get there they are going to have to beat the Braves first though. And they get their first chance tonight when Ranger Suarez faces off with Mr. Hates Loud Fans himself Spencer Strider. They won that same matchup in game 1. But despite how much we can laugh at Strider’s expense, he is a good pitcher. And it won’t be as easy to hit bombs off him as it was for them to hit off of Bryce Elder and the leftovers of the Braves Bullpen.
Before we get to game 4 though, let’s relive Game 3 one more time. Because it was a party and something worth celebrating. 6 total HRs. Only 2 runs allowed. 10 total runs were put up by the Phillies. Between Bryce Harper getting his revenge, Aaron Nola coming up huge, Nick Castellanos hitting two just like Harper, and watching the Braves players whine after the game, it was a joy. And today on The Middays Show, Andrew Salciunas and Ray Dunne wanted to relive the win in all of its glory.
They pulled the best moments of the game, to replay in The Audio Vault today. All 6 HRs, Aaron Nola’s big night, and more. So relive game 3 with them here, before we start preparing for the Phillies to close it out in game 4 tonight.
