The Colorado Rockies and Philadelphia Phillies will wrap up their three-game set with one final showdown at Citizens Bank Park. The Rockies have struggled tremendously this season, winning only one of their five contests so far, a record that has them in the cellar of the NL West. Conversely, Philadelphia has earned the exact opposite record of Colorado, going 4-1 en route to an early divisional lead.
Leading Colorado's attempt to avoid the sweep will be pitcher Antonio Senzatela. The longtime Rockie is a known commodity on the mound, consistently providing slightly below-average innings whenever he is handed the start. Below average is unlikely to cut it against a Phillies lineup that has looked like one of the best in the MLB so far.
Below average is also an apt descriptor for Taijuan Walker, Philadelphia's starter in this contest. The veteran is coming off of his worst career season by far, a year in which he posted a 7.10 ERA and a 1.72 WHIP. However, the Rockies have been one of the lowliest offensive teams in the league so far, giving Walker a realistic chance to get his 2025 season started on the right foot.

Rockies vs Phillies Predictions and Picks
Anthony Leute of Statsalt writes, "The Phillies have a record of 4-2 against the run line in their last 6 games against the Rockies at home. We are seeing both teams go in opposite directions this season, with the Rockies struggling at both the plate and the mound, whereas the Phillies have been thriving at both. This is going to be a one-sided game, much like the first two games were in this series. Taijuan Walker is 3-1 with an ERA of 2.34 and 47 strikeouts in 8 appearances versus the Rockies in his career and should have no issue holding back the Colorado offense. I am taking the Phillies at -1.5."
As Leute alludes to, it is a bit surprising that Philadelphia's spread is priced the way it is. The Phillies have multiple players who have been crushing at the plate, sporting five starters batting above .280 to begin the year. Walker is coming off of a bad season on the bump, but the rest of his career featured workable numbers, so it is fair to assume that some positive regression will occur, and a game against one of the shabbiest lineups in the MLB is a good place to start. Philadelphia should pile in runs and win this game by multiple scores.
