Deebo Samuel Still Has Not Stopped Crying About The Eagles

The 49ers players, fans, and radio hosts had an all-time hissy fit following their teams’ loss to the Eagles in the playoffs last year. They did the thing you aren’t…

The 49ers players, fans, and radio hosts had an all-time hissy fit following their teams' loss to the Eagles in the playoffs last year. They did the thing you aren't supposed to do, and trash talked like crazy after they lost, and lost badly. And one of the biggest criers from the team was former great WR Deebo Samuel. To this day, he still has not stopped crying. While all of the Eagles players seem to have moved on, Samuel is still whining.

Following the loss here is a short list of some of the things Deebo Samuel has done:

  • Claimed they would have won by double digits if Brock Purdy hadn't gotten hurt
  • Called James Bradberry trash
  • Hung up on an interview with a CBS Talk Show when they brought up the Eagles
  • Called the Eagles his most hated team
  • Claimed to be tired of Eagles fans and players, even though he can't stop talking about them
  • Guaranteed the 49ers would beat the Eagles
  • Caught just 1 TD

Well, he is back at it again. Because when he was talking to reporters in the locker room today, he had a chance to walk back some of the nonsense that has come out of his mouth. Instead, he doubled down.

Must be embarrassing for Deebo to be held to 33 yards by a "trash" CB.

At one point Deebo Samuel looked like one of the dangerous players in the NFL. But that was in 2021. And he has come nowhere close to those heights since that season. This year he is fine for a WR 2. But he is very clearly the 4th option in their offense behind guys who are actually still putting up big numbers like George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk, and Christian McCaffrey. Now he does way more talking than he does producing.

He gets his chance to back up his endless trash talk this weekend. But the thing is the Eagles have done enough that this game means way less for them than it does for the Niners. The Eagles can lose and still be in 1st of the NFC. If the 49ers lose, they are pretty much out of the race for the 1 seed. But after having to hear Deebo run his mouth non-stop since their last game, Eagles fans probably want to win just to finally shut him up. And I imagine James Bradberry has something to show after Deebo called him trash.

Philadelphia Eagles Projected 2023 Week 13 Starters

The Philadelphia Eagles pulled off an incredible overtime win in Week 12 of the 2023 NFL season. They own the best record in the NFL at 10-1 after the thriller against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.

They have suffered a few recent injuries to key players, especially along the offensive and defensive lines. Will Lane Johnson, Fletcher Cox, Milton Williams, and Zach Cunningham return for the Eagles as Week 13 starters?

Eagles Pull Off Miracle Against Bills

The Bills took a 10-point lead into halftime, and the Eagles were fortunate that the deficit wasn't worse. It looked eerily similar to the Super Bowl LVII rematch on Monday Night Football six days before. However, the result was the same. The Eagles pulled off yet another double-digit comeback.

Jalen Hurts played poorly in the first half. He shook off the struggles and led four touchdown drives after halftime, the last coming in overtime. The Philadelphia defense held Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs scoreless on six second half possessions.

Nick Sirianni has improved to 33-12 as a head coach in NFL regular-season games. The Eagles are 24-2 in games started by Jalen Hurts since the beginning of the 2022 season.

The San Francisco 49ers loom for an NFC Championship Game rematch at Lincoln Financial Field in Week 13.

Projected Philadelphia Eagles Week 13 Starters

The Eagles have leaned on strength in the trenches in the most recent era of franchise history. Two of their foundational pieces didn't finish the game against the Bills. Lane Johnson missed the game with groin soreness, and Fletcher Cox also left the game with a groin injury.

Dallas Goedert and Nakobe Dean will likely remain out with injuries in Week 13. Jack Stoll started at tight end in Weeks 11 and 12, and he'll likely fill in against the 49ers once again. Cunningham has been the best linebacker on the team in 2023. He left the game with a hamstring injury and didn't return.

Nicholas Morrow has played an elevated role, and Christian Elliss also stepped into the regular rotation as a linebacker. The Eagles will get an update on Milton Williams, who missed the game against Buffalo with a concussion.

With arguably the toughest opponent on the schedule ahead, Nick Sirianni needs good news about some of his best players heading into Week 13.
