Jamie Lynch Sends PA, New Jersey Residents Into Heated Debate
Jamie Lynch is back at it with a controversial take that sent the internet into a frenzy.
The long-time Pennsylvania resident typically leaves his car to pump gas, just like the law dictates. When he crosses the river to the Jersey side, things change.
?s=20I'm sorry but I see absolutely no appeal to having a gas attendant in NJ. can't believe people think that's better than pumping yourself.

Jamie had a bad experience at a New Jersey gas station over the weekend. He described the annoyance while filling in with as a co-host with Andrew Salciunas on The Anthony Gargano Show.
“I hear the click when it’s finished. (The attendant is) nowhere around. I’m looking around. She’s not there, and look, these people are working hard…I’m sitting there waiting another minute and a half or two, and she’s not there.” -Jamie Lynch
Jamie took matters into his own hands. He got out and unattached the pump himself.
Pennsylvania Vs. New Jersey Clash
Twitter popped off with pushback.
The Bro didn’t have any time for the “moronic take” that he was somehow advocating to cut jobs. It wasn’t a matter of economics, just a matter of convenience.
Full-service gas stations keep customers inside their cars during the winter months, but that also means that attendants stand in the cold.
Jamie wrote off the issue of his hands potentially smelling like gas, and he pointed out that sometimes it creates yet another expectation for leaving a tip.
“All I’m asking for is a self-serve option.” -Jamie Lynch
New Jersey Self-Service Option Needed
According to CNBC, New Jersey is the only US state with a full ban on self-service gas stations. Oregon has recently relaxed similar laws.
The law started in Jersey during the 1950s, and it has somehow persisted into modern times.
Andrew, who has lived in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey for extended periods, even responded with a stunning admission about a problem he had after he moved to Pennsylvania for the first time.
“I do remember, full disclosure…The first time I went to pump my own gas in PA, I had no idea what I was doing.” -Andrew Salciunas
Maybe, someday, New Jersey self-service gas stations will give customers like Jamie Lynch a more convenient experience.
It’s not like a freak gasoline accident between male models will take place in the Garden State anytime soon.
