Eagles’ A.J. Brown deletes tweets over JuJu Smith-Schuster’s new video
I hate that I have to write about this.
On Wednesday evening, a content creator who goes by Coach 30 posted a video on the major social media platforms featuring Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster. The video was a (surprisingly detailed) skit about the Eagles and A.J. Brown’s insult of “TikTok boy” directed at Smith-Schuster last month. It included jabs at James Bradberry, Jalen Hurts, Brown, and the Eagles’ coaching staff.

Weird, but whatever.
In what is now an unsurprising development, A.J. Brown tweeted some expletive-filled messages at Smith-Schuster that seemed vaguely threatening and then deleted the tweets.

Smith-Schuster is a professional Internet troll. It’s what he does, quite literally. He has 3.4 million followers on Instagram, 3.5 million followers on TikTok, and 259,000 followers on Twitch. He has more followers on IG and TikTok than dollars from his 2022 base salary ($1.035M) with the Chiefs.
And the reactions Brown & Co. are giving him are just fuel to the troll fire. There are no bad impressions, views, or clicks for creators like Smith-Schuster. While you’re deleting these tweets (a bad look, in my opinion) Smith-Schuster is reveling in the attention. It all just rolls into his next tweet or video.

So stop engaging. The Chiefs won. We all know the Chiefs won because of their quarterback and their head coach, not because of Smith-Schuster. Take the higher road against an Internet bottom-feeder, at least until next season begins. You can’t win this one, but you can absolutely lose some more.
It’s hard to put the phone down when you’re angry, but it’s the right move.
