NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS Closing Locker Rooms Due To Coronavirus Concerns
Most of the country’s major pro sports leagues are closing their locker rooms over coronavirus concerns.
The NBA, MLB, NHL, and MLS all announced this week that the locker rooms would be “open only to players and essential employees” going forward.
Reporters and other media will have to remain outside the clubhouse in designated areas, and player interviews will be conducted from a distance of 6-8 feet.
The new rules went into effect on Tuesday and no timetable was given for how long they will last.
