It’s beginning to look like the Cubs will be moving on from manager Joe Maddon as he nears the end of his five year contract. Could his next stop be a return to Maddon’s home state of Pennsylvania?
According to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, it is expected that Maddon won’t be the team’s manager next season and was revealed his replacement will be former catcher David Ross.
However, Cubs General Manager Jed Hoyer has declined to address the rumors surrounding his manager.
With Phillies’ Gabe Kapler in the hot seat after another disappointing season in Philly and Maddon being a native of Hazelton, PA it will be interesting to see how if this shakes out.
