The Milwaukee Bucks meet the ailing Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. this Thursday, with Milwaukee's club two weeks removed from completing a regular-season sweep of the L.A. Lakers. It would appear that a mismatch is in store for Wells Fargo Center. Except that the Bucks are dealing with a downturn, and there's troubling news that changes the vibe of Milwaukee's playoff bid.
Milwaukee PG Damien Lillard is out of the lineup long-term following a blood clot diagnosis. The Bucks have lost six of their last nine games, including a 145-124 defeat to the Atlanta Hawks, in which the favored Bucks allowed 45 points in the second quarter.
If sportsbooks are torn about Milwaukee's chance to win on a baleful week, you wouldn't know it from the Bucks' moneyline odds to beat Philly. It seems that the 76ers' record is even poorer against the Bucks than it's been against the NBA in 2024-25.

Philadelphia 76ers vs Milwaukee Bucks Predictions and Picks
Philadelphia's way of tanking is more honest than other last-place teams. While 2025's Charlotte Hornets can be found pulling starters off the court to ensure losing in tight games, the 76ers are content to play a "Washington Generals" role and fall behind from the outset. That's why the 76ers have been bad against the spread in addition to the win-loss column. Milwaukee's mastery of Philadelphia on the hardwood makes Philly's odds look weaker still.
Will the Bucks focus on defense in Philadelphia? Or will they play in a loose style, now that less is expected from them? Blogger Dalton Sell's latest from Behind the Buck Pass hints that the Bucks remain upbeat, believing the NBA's injury breaks may balance out. "Bobby Portis' suspension is nearing an end," Sell writes, "and A.J. Green's shoulder injury does not appear to be a long-term concern."
Philly is a solid get-well trip for Milwaukee at this point. But with a wounded roster, the Bucks will have to feed the Greek Freak and grab any quick bucket that's available. The Philadelphia 76ers should contribute 100+ points while losing a game with a fast pace for three quarters, making the over-total-points pick a winner on Thursday night.
