Philadelphia Eagles Trade Up, Take Jalen Carter With Pick 9
The Philadelphia Eagles traded up 1 spot with the Chicago Bears to select Jalen Carter with the 9th overall pick. The Eagles traded pick 10 and a 4th round pick for next season in order to get Carter.
Carter was the #1 player on many scouts and analysts draft boards. Carter was a force at Georgia and joins an Eagles defensive line with his former college teammate Jordan Davis. The Eagles drafted Davis last year with their first round pick, before making a splash by trading for AJ Brown. Carter does come with some baggage and off the field issues but the Eagles, and Howie Roseman clearly thought Carter was worth the risk. The Eagles will pick again at pick 30.
