Stefan Wisniewski Previews The Eagles-Chiefs Super Bowl
There is one man who was on both the Eagles and the Chiefs Super Bowl teams. Stefan Wisniewski played Left Guard for the Eagles in the 2018 Super Bowl, and then two years later, suited up for the Chiefs for their Super Bowl. As someone who has played for both teams, and has former teammates still on both teams, he is in a unique position to break down the game. And he joined The Anthony Gargano show, with Andrew Salciuanas and Jamie Lynch filling in, to share his thoughts on the game, how great the Eagles’ O-Line is, and more. Here is what Stefan Wisniewski had to say.
On the Eagles’ Current Offensive Line
“I know these guys personally. So when I watch them, I know how they prepare, and I know how Stoutland gets everyone coordinated. Just the level of detail they put into it, is a different level. Both in the run game and pass game. If you watch a double-team block, they are hip to hip, there is no space. Those D Linmen have nowhere to go. He is either getting run over, or he is going to fall down. The precision, the study of the defense. They know exactly what the defense is going to do.
And just the diversity of the run game too. They run inside, they run outside. They’ve got QB reads, they have gives, and they have RPOs. It is kind of exhausting to think about trying to stop it. No one really has. When you put together the level of precision with the talent on the line, and then you throw in Hurts… Man I would not want to try and stop that run game. Let alone the play action where you have AJ brown and Devonta Smith running out there. It is an impressive group.”
Stefan Wisniewski also discussed what makes Jeff Stoutland so special, shared his general thoughts on the game, and more. You can listen to his full interview below…
