The Audio Vault- Anthony’s Pre Season Eagles Predictions
People were high on the Eagles coming into the season. But no one had them being this good. Or did they? This morning Andrew Salciunas gave Anthony Gargano his dues. Because way back in June, after the draft and free agency, Anthony ran through the Eagles’ schedule. And his predictions, though they seemed hyperbolic at the time, were very accurate.
Among his predictions was that they would start 9-0, and wind up going 14-3. He was close. They did go 14-3, but they only went 8-0, losing their ninth game. But he ran through ball 17 games and got nearly all of his predictions right. He thought their first loss would be vs the Colts, it ended up being a week earlier against the Washington Commanders, and the Eagles beat the Colts the next week. And of course, he could not have predicted Gardner Minshew having to come in for two weeks.
But for preseason predictions, several months before the season, and before the final roster was even constructed, Anthony was surprisingly accurate. He even got some predictions outside the Eagles right, such as predicting that Brian Daboll would have the Giants playing above their talent level.
And now with the Eagles in the Super Bowl, and having the great season Anthony predicted several months ago when he admittedly was drinking the green kool-aid one morning, Andrew replayed all these predictions in The Audio Vault today. Anthony didn’t even fully believe it himself at the time. He said it back then. Anthony had just been making a point of how great this Eagles team could be. But since his wild hyperbolic predictions ended up being true, why not give him his dues? So that is what Andrew did this morning in the Audio Vault.
You can hear his full predictions from back then in the Audio Vault below…
