World Cup Soccer Balls Have to Be Charged
The balls at the World Cup are more advanced than ever before. There is a sensor in them that can track velocity, if a play was offsides, and if it goes into the goal. And it being so high-tech, led to an odd photo that showed the balls plugged in and being charged. The sensors in the balls are battery powered, and while active can last for up to 6 hours. Still, it was an odd sight seeing balls plugged into a power outlet.
Woman Claims Jesus Told Her To Open Plane Door Mid-Flight
Jesus Told me to do it is very much in the same vain as the dog ate my homework as far as excuses go. And it is very unlikely it will fly in this case. One woman on a Southwest flight got up and tried to open the emergency door mid-flight. When another passenger tackled her to prevent her from killing everyone on the plane, she bit her tackler on the tight. her mouth had to be pried open to get her off of them. But its okay. because Jesus told her to do all of this.
Bats Are “Heavy Metal Singers” And Have a Wider Vocal Range Than Mariah Carey
Bats have been associated with metal for a long time. Partly because Ozzy Osbourne bit the head of one. But even beyond that, they are a symbol associated with the genre. And now there is another connection. Because researchers have for the first time captured video of how a bat’s vocal cords work. And it turns out they have a wider vocal range than Mariah Carey and are essentially the Heavy Metal Singers of the animal kingdom. Bats have a vocal range of 7 octaves, whereas most humans are limited to just 3. Some humans have reached 4 vocal octaves, like Mariah Carey. but they can’t hold a candle to the vocal range of a bat.
