The Audio Vault- A Wild Weekend For Philly
It feels like we have been saying this a lot lately, but what a weekend for Philadelphia. All of our teams were playing, and for the most part, they all played well. The Phillies took 1 of 2 in Houston. The Eagles rolled over the Steelers, The Union advanced to the MLS Cup. Tyrese Maxey went off in Toronto. Philly was partying from Friday through to Sunday night, with just one speed bump Saturday night with the Phillies’ game 2 loss. it is a great time for us in Philly. And for the Vault today, Andrew Salciuans played the best parts from a wild weekend.
He started with the game 1 comeback win in Houston. It started out poorly. Two Kyle Tucker bombs put the Phillies down 5-0 against Justin Verlander. But this Phillies team did what it has been doing all postseason. They battled. First, it was three runs in the 4th inning. Then it was two more in the 5th thanks to a JT Realmuto. And then in extras, JT came up again and hit a solo shot to give the Phillies the lead, on the way to a win. So Andrew pulled the best moments from that comeback for the Vault today.
And Andrew was not going to forget the Sixers. So he also played Joel Embiid’s game-winning 3pter against the Bulls from Saturday night.
And that party carried into Sunday afternoon. The Eagles rolled past the Steelers, thanks in large part to 3 long AJ Brown touchdowns. It was the best performance from an Eagles WR in a long time. And Andrew played all 3 of them in the Vault today.
The Vault ended like the wild weekend did, with the Union. The Union went down 1-0 at one point. But that did not last long. The Union scored two goals within a few minutes of each other, and not too long after tacked on a third, on their way to a 3-1 win to advance to the MLS Cup for the first time in franchise history.
