VIDEO: Here’s How Adam Schefter Views The Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles will take the field in 3 and a half weeks and fans are starting to get a picture of what this team could be. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter joined the John Kincade Show for his weekly hit (Wednesdays at 8:10am) and gave us some insight on what he thinks of the team. But he also weighed in on a bevy of topics. One of them was the lack of interest in training camp. Does Schefter put any stock into that?
“Fact of the matter is there are people that put (preseason games on) just to put it on,” Schefter told the guys. “And when the season kicks off in September no one is going to remember that there was a lack of interest in the Eagles 2nd preseason game.”
But then John asked Adam if he thought this team could be led by the teams defense. The defense is getting a lot of love from the fans and the media after a total rebuild in the offseason. But could we look back and say the defense carried the Birds?
“I view them as a balanced team. There will be weeks when the defense wins and there will be weeks when the offense wins.”
