ANTELOPE WELLS, NEW MEXICO - JANUARY 12: A bobcat is seen walking near the border between the United States and Mexico as the United States government continues its shutdown over a fight to fund more border wall construction on January 12, 2019 in Antelope Wells, New Mexico. President Donald Trump wants $5.7 billion to build additional walls along the U.S.-Mexico border and the Democrats oppose the idea.

See what was brewing with Jen Scordo today. Every day on The Best Show Ever Jen Scordo shares 3 recent weird and interesting news stories. Today that included a bobcat lounging a a dog bed, a woman with 230 grandkids, and a couple who went viral for throwing a “no kids allowed” wedding… Here are her stories from today.

  • Bobcat Cozies up in Families Dog Bed

Imagine looking in your living room and expecting to see your dog lounging in its dog bed, but instead, you see a wild bobcat peacefully sleeping in your house surrounded by dog toys!  It happened to a family in Arizona recently when the wild bobcat snuck into their house through an unlocked doggy door while the family was out.  The homeowners called the Arizona Game and Fish Department for help, but the cat woke up, played with some of the toys in the dog bed and then left the house on its own. Thankfully there were no injuries to humans or animals.

  • Woman Who Has 230 Grandchildren

A 98-year-old woman is going viral because she has 230 grandchildren.  And she just met her great-great-great- granddaughter.  Cordelia Mae Hawkins is said to have 623 descendants, including 234 great-great grandchildren.  When Hawkins was 16, she married her husband Bill who was a 50-year-old widower with 10 children.  She then went on to have 13 children with Bill… This family has 6 generations still living – all females.  The current record is a New York family with 7 living generations.

  • No Kids Allowed Wedding

And a California bride is going viral because she threw an “adult-only wedding.”  The bride and groom explained in a Tik Tok video that “while we love your kids, our wedding will an adults-only (18+) event due to space and budget constraints.” They encouraged their wedding guests to take a night off from parenting and celebrate!  Obviously, the comments are split, many saying it’s their night, they are paying, they can do what they want.  If you don’t like it, don’t go.  That’s where I stand by the way… Most comments were on that side, even parent’s chiming in saying they would enjoy a kids-free night out and if they can’t get a babysitter, then they simply wouldn’t attend.

I didn’t demand no kids at my wedding, however there was only one small child there, my friends voluntarily left their children with parents or a babysitter because they wanted to have fun.  I also 100% support restaurants that have decided to go kid-free.  If you have children, go somewhere else.  I don’t frequent restaurants that are commonly full of children, and I don’t want to be bothered with your child running around like a banshee while I’m trying to enjoy and adult meal.
