The Eagles Have The 8th Best Odds To Win Next Super Bowl
This season did not go anywhere near the way Eagles fans wanted. After coming up just short in the 2022-2023 season, they imploded down the stretch this year. It took them from being a potential dynasty in the eyes of some Eagles fans, to being hopeless. But Vegas seems to have more faith in them than Eagles fans do. Because despite the disaster that was this season, they still have the 8th best odds to win the Super Bowl next season.
They open at +1800 according to ESPN. Some Sportsbooks have them at +1800. But pretty much everyone has them with the 8th best odds. Behind the Chiefs, 49ers, Ravens, Bills, Lions, Bengals, and Cowboys. It is probably right where Eagles fans are most comfortable. Not such low odds that they have no shot. But low enough that we can act like under dogs. Being doubted just a little bit is a far for comfortable position for Philly fans than being favored.
Here are the odds for the top 8 teams per ESPN:
- 49ers- +550
- Chiefs- +700
- Ravens- +850
- Bills- +1000
- Lions- +1200
- Bengals- +1300
- Cowboys- +1300
There is a whole off-season and draft to go still. So those odds will likely change around a ton based on which players the Eagles and other teams add. And if they end up having to trade Haason Reddick, we could see them fall behind teams like the Dolphins, Texans, and Packers. But as they are currently constructed, Vegas has them in the mix to win it next year.
And there are still things to like about them. The defense needs a complete overhaul, but they at least have Vic Fangio in charge now. And on offense they still have Jalen Hurts throwing to AJ Brown and Devonta Smith with a good O-line protecting them, even if Jason Kelce retires. If you bring in some talent on defense, and Kellen Moore rights the ship on offense, they can be great again. But it starts with Howie having a great off-season.
