The Eagles Have Played In The 3 Most Watched Games This Season
KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI - NOVEMBER 20: Jason Kelce #62 of the Philadelphia Eagles talks to brother Travis Kelce #87 of the Kansas City Chiefs after their game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on November 20, 2023 in Kansas City, Missouri.
So much for the Cowboys being America’s team. Monday Night’s Eagles-Chiefs game drew a 14.9 in the ratings, with an estimated 29,021,000 million people watching. That is the highest rating for any game this season and the largest audience for any Monday Night Game in 27 years. But it is more than just that. That news drew attention to the other games in the top 3. And guess what? All 3 have featured the Eagles.
In second place was the Eagles-Cowboys 4 pm game in week 9. That game drew a 13.3 in the ratings, with an estimated audience of 27.14 million people. Then in 3rd place is the Eagles-Jets game from back in week 6. That game drew a 12.8 in the ratings, with an estimated 26.09 million people watching.
Only one of those games was a National Game. The other two were both played at 4 pm. And while they were their network’s Game of the Week, people had other options for what to watch. They just mostly chose to watch the Eagles. The Eagles are now a team people seek out. You can imagine that the Sunday Night game between the Eagles and Cowboys is also going to be up there in terms of the highest-rated games as well. As could the Eagles-49ers game in week 13 which will likely be the Game of the Week at 4 pm for Fox that week.
As Philly fans, we are used to being the underdogs. But maybe we need to get used to them being front runners. They are the most-watched team this season, and there is a reason why they have so few 1 pm games this year. Networks want to air their games because people want to watch them play. Maybe we should start calling the Eagles America’s Team. Because it seems like they are the team America wants to watch.

Week 12 Power Rankings Round Up- Now Do You Believe In The Eagles?
At a certain point, we have to stop doubting this Eagles team. Yes, things have not been perfect. There have been some serious flaws. But it is week 12, and they have just 1 loss. When you win “ugly” week after week, eventually you just have to call a team winners. Especially when it comes against the reigning champions the Chiefs. That game was as ugly as it gets. The offense barely moved the ball for most of the game. Jalen Hurts was under siege. And they were trailing for most of the time. But they pulled it out. They shutout the Chiefs in the second half, and put up 14 points of their own to win 21-17.
The Eagles are now 9-1 heading into week 12, and 4-0 vs playoff teams (Chiefs, Cowboys, Dolphins, Vikings). They are nearly halfway through what people called the gauntlet in their schedule, and they didn’t lose a single one of those games. And they lead the NFC with a 1 game lead over the Lions, and no in-conference losses.
Maybe they are just a great team. As great as last year? No. But they don’t have to play last year’s Eagles team. They only have to play the other teams this year. And they look better than all of them. Who has been better? The 49ers team that dropped 3 straight games. No. The Cowboys team they just beat? No. The Chiefs? We saw that is a no last night. The Ravens? How many big leads can they blow late in games before people question them? And the Lions got blown out by that Ravens team. Every team is flawed, the Eagles are just the least flawed.
But what does the National Media think about them? Are they giving the Eagles love for winning, or questioning how these games are? Let’s find out.
Here is the Week 12 Roundup of where the Eagles fell in the Power Rankings:
Andrew Salciunas, “The Choonis,” has done it all at the station - screening calls, working events as a member of the street team, producing 7 days a week, doing updates, and now hosting his own show. Now with a wife and kid, his life experiences are far different than when he first started, but this “regular guy” knows how to relate to anyone. He writes about the Flyers, Phillies, Sixers, and Eagles.
