It could be down in Sea Isle, along the waterfront in Philly, or the shores of the Darby “Crick”. You stumble upon a genie in a bottle. After you release the genie, they inform you that they can award you three Philly sports wishes. There is an expiration date so you’ve got to ask fast. Oh, you can’t ask for a championship either. I think I’ve got mine figured out. What about you?

I want the other Wild Card contenders to have to battle it out until Sunday!

While the Phillies have the opportunity to close out the top National league Wild Card spot as soon as Monday night, the other contenders will be battling it out for a few more days. I’d prefer that the battle goes down until the last day.

That would push their bullpens and starters to the limit. I do have a concern that is one of the reasons I was willing to use a dish on this request. The teams in contention may see a Brewers-Dodgers path to the NLCS easier than a Phillies-Braves combo. That may cause them to tank in order to grab position six instead of five.

The Philadelphia Eagles avoid the upset and unleash the passing game!

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 2-0 and feeling confident. Let’s not give them any reason to believe they are going to upend the Eagles early season success.

You may not see Tampa as a huge threat, but the Chiefs, Bills, and Cowboys have already tasted defeat in games where most didn’t see it coming.

If the Eagles can just hold serve and win the games they are favored in, they will have the buffer they need to survive the Chiefs, Bills, 49ers, Cowboys stretch in late November and early December.

Get the 76ers a good deal for James Harden.

I know that the 76ers best chance to compete for a title in 2023-24 certainly improves if James Harden is a part of the picture.

I also know that someone who isn’t dedicated to the cause is a bad teammate. Harden always seems to have his eye on the door, whether in Houston, Brooklyn, or Philadelphia. If only he had his eye on a mirror occasionally. I’m over the story and don’t want the drama of whether he’s staying or going.

We'll see if this genie along the beach or the Darby "Crick" actually helps Philly out!

The Philadelphia Eagles are dealing with a variety of injuries on defense. They will travel to Florida in Week 3 of 2023 NFL season to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium.

The defending NFC champs defeated the Minnesota Vikings at Lincoln Financial Field in Week 1.

Philadelphia Eagles Defeat Minnesota Vikings

The Eagles dominated in the running game in their second victory. D'Andre Swift touched the ball only once in Week 1, but he exploded in Week 2. The St. Joe's Prep graduate ran for 175 yards behind a dominant offensive line hungry to push around the Minnesota defense.

Jalen Hurts didn't kickstart the passing game to its full potential. However, he still managed to complete 18 of his 23 passes for 191 yards.

Nick Sirianni just keeps on winning. After a 2-5 start to his career as a head coach, he has won 25 of 33 games.

The Eagles will enter as 6.5 point favorites against the 2-0 Buccaneers.

Projected Philadelphia Eagles Week 3 Starters

The Eagles face some injury concerns heading down to Tampa. Avonte Maddox will likely miss the remainder of the season. Sirianni and the coaching staff have expressed confidence in Josh Jobe and other depth players, but the inexperienced backups must prove themselves in game action. The banged-up secondary showed some leaks against the Vikings.

Nicholas Morrow came up from the practice squad to start in Week 2. He led the linebacker corps (including Haason Reddick) in defensive snaps with 55. Zach Cunningham was close behind with 53, and he showed improvement from his Week 1 performance.

The status of Reed Blankenship is still in question. Justin Evans and Terrell Edmunds started at safety in Week 2. They dominated the snap counts while rookie Sydney Brown played minimally.

Injury news that affects the Eagles Week 3 starters will trickle out as the week moves along. The 10-day layoff allows more flexibility for Sirianni and the Eagles to get healthy and reset before facing the Buccaneers on Monday Night Football.
