Anthony’s Opening Diatribe- Sixers Slay the Celtics in Boston
Anthony Gargano Gushed About How Great The Sixers Looked in Last Night’s Win his Opening Diatribe This Morning:
“Rout! What a game. The Embeast! Swat Swat. A signature game by the Embeast. And look who was his running mate. Maximus. They did it. They went up to Boston and slayed the Celtics. An incredible team game. They dominated from the tip until the scrubs went in. It was the greatest. I haven’t seen a game like that since the Beat LA game in the 80s. Where everybody counted the Sixers out, but they went into Boston for game 7 and won.
That was awesome. They go in as a 7.5-point underdog, and they dominate…
(Cue Sixers Song)
What a night. A night of dominance. We have been saying that this team feels different. They showed it. That was a signature game by the MVP. He was utterly dominant. Horford had no answers. Nothing
Then you have Maxey running alongside him. That was the key. There were a couple of keys last night that played out perfectly. We talked about the two biggest keys being Tobias and Maxey. I said all day yesterday that Maxey had to have a big game. And Maxey was incredible. 30 spot, and 6 threes. And Tobias early, don’t discount that. Tobias played such a big role yesterday…
Harden was terrific. He played that role of point guard yesterday perfectly. He was so clean with the basketball. Judicious with his distribution. Made his shots. I love the fact that he got everyone in action. The offense was not stagnant at all.
Defensively they were amazing. The Sixers held Boston 12 of 38 from 3. Horford 0 for 7. White 2 for 6. Brogdon 3 for 9. They shut them down last night.”
