Shaq: “Atlanta Is The Better Team”
Former NBA MVP Shaquille O’Neal hopped on the John Kincade show and discussed the Sixers knotting the series up at one game a piece. But if you were thinking that the Sixers 118-102 win changed Shaq’s mind as to who would come out on top in this series…..youre wrong.
“Atlanta is the better team,” Shaq said. “They have a lot of weapons. They have Trae Young whos playing excellent basketball, and the Hawks (proceeds to try and imitate a Hawk) have more and better perimeter shooters.”
The “Kincade Brigade” brought up Trae Young’s lack luster game 2 but Shaq wasn’t deterred. Honestly, he was quite dismissive.
“Thats because hes young and theyve already got the split and he wasnt really on. So mentally he was probably like ‘you know what, were going back to (Atlanta)'” Shaq continued, “Now dont get it twisted, they gotta bring it in game 3. If they dont bring it game 3 and Philly catches fire theyre gonna be in trouble. However if they win game 3…” (Shaq tries to hum the Rocky theme song.)
