A driver in Kansas City was arrested after they drove through the parade's barriers. Per CBS Sports, "With most roads in the city closed off due to the celebration, someone thought it would be a good idea to get away from the police by using the parade route, which made for one of the wildest car chases that you'll ever see -- and certainly the wildest to ever go down at a Super Bowl parade."
During the chase, police officers had to use stop sticks on the car to make the tires go flat. Afterward, they used a PIT maneuver to make the car stop altogether. There is no word yet on if what formal charges have been made, but KC police confirm that two suspects were taken into custody. They also note that although there were no weapons on the car, the driver is being investigated for possible impairment. There were also no signs that the incident was a terrorist attack.
Luckily this incident happened three hours before the parade, and the show is still going on as planned.
Many bystanders got the entire incident on video. Check some of them out below.
