7 Things To Do When You Visit Clearwater, Florida

It's a natural inclination to go somewhere sunnier with a better climate when planning a vacation. Clearwater, Florida fits those specifications perfectly!

Clearwater is a city in the Tampa Bay area. It's practically known for sunny weather and beautiful beaches. Clearwater Beach is a 3-mile stretch of white sand against a backdrop of hotels and restaurants.  The city is teeming with vacation activities for the entire family. It is truly one of the best places to visit in all of Florida.

If white-sand beaches and palm trees sound like something you need in your life right now, we totally get it. Self-care is the most important practice you can take part in. And what's better self-care than lounging on a beautiful beach, or spending the day having fun with your family?

If you go I suggest ordering the large order of the Frenchy's Garlic Crab Fries, a cup of the Frenchy's She Crab Soup, and the Original Grouper Sandwich. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Every February and March the Phillies fly south for Spring Training in Clearwater, Florida. Join your fellow baseball enthusiasts for a game. Outside of Spring Training, you could catch a Clearwater Threshers game. 

Featured in the movie Dolphin Tale and Dolphin Tale 2, you can explore all the marine life at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. They also have educational programs for kids.

Pier 60 is really a one-stop shop for all things Florida. Get your souvenir t-shirts, fish off the pier, or catch one of the amazing Clearwater Beach sunsets.

There is nothing like lounging on the beach with a good book. Dip your toes in the water to cool off and dig your toes in the sand for a pedicure courtesy of Mother Nature.

Get tickets to a concert if you are in town while there is something booked at the historic Capitol Theatre or the brand new venue, The Sound. So many great acts come through and both venues are amazing! +

You can rent a boat to cruise the waters of the Gulf of Mexico or hire a captain to take your group on a fishing charter. Either way, a day on the water is a great way to spend your vacation.
