Anthony Went Off About The Latest James Harden Drama In His Opening Diatribe This Morning:

"The big story in NBA Circles is the Hassa, He's back at it. Do you know what a Hassa is Frank? (cue Scarface soundbite of Tony describing what a Hassa is). Once again he does not fly straight. James Harden, true to himself as King Hassa, he went after Daryl Morey.

If they intimated to you that they would lock you up after you took a team-friendly deal, then maybe you shouldn't have disappeared in half of the playoff games and then quit. Maybe Daryl Morey did intimate that, but then Morey said that he can't in good conscience give you that contract after watching what he saw. So maybe there is some responsibility on your end.

And by the way, if you really wanted to be a free agent, why did you opt-in? You opted in because you wanted more money. There is a trade kicker to get you more money. It is a money grab. Which is fine. But you opted into the contract.

Your MO is let me burn down bridges to get out of a place. There is no need to burn down the bridge and put on the fat suit. This is 3 times, that he is burning the bridge down. Things happen. Houston, they weren't winning, they are a sinking ship, let me get out. Then Brooklyn became a sinking ship. Now it is the Sixers and Daryl Morey's fault. Therein lies the Hassa.

Would I celebrate that trade with Ben Simmons? Yes, all over again I would. And I am happy today that they did not sign him to that mega contract. It would have been a bad deal. He is going to do what he does. He's the Hassa. He will be a Hassa until he retires. And it is probably why he will never win."

7 Things Daryl Morey Said When He Joined Anthony Gargano Today

The Sixers are in a very difficult position. James Harden wants out, and the trade offers they are reportedly getting back do not move the needle. They are coming off their 5th 2nd round exit in this era. They have next to no money to make any more moves in free agency. All of the above has led to fans losing patience a little bit with this Sixers team, and it is hard to blame them. And the man in charge of somehow fixing this situation is Sixers President of Basketball Operations, Daryl Morey. And today he joined The Anthony Gargano Show to discuss some of those issues surrounding the Sixers

What is Daryl Morey's plan to turn things around this summer? How does he see the James Harden situation panning out? What did Joel Embiid mean by his elsewhere comments? Can Nick Nurse make a big enough difference to get this team over the top? And how does he balance making the team better this year while also making sure they are good going forward too? Daryl Morey and Anthony Gargano got into all of that and more.

Here is some of what Daryl Morey had to say when he joined Anthony Gargano today:
