Today that included the musical lineup for NCAA March Madness, a man in Peru with a mummy as a girlfriend and 42 British students got stranded in New York City after their hotel accidentally shredded their passports… Here are her stories from today.      

Rootin' and Tootin' at The NCAA March Madness Music Festival

March Madness is huge in the sports and entertainment world, with more star power building year to year.  And this year, the musical guests will be rootin’ and tootin’!  Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, and Little Big Town will all perform at the 2023 NCAA March Madness Music Festival.  However, the musical guests aren’t all rooters and tooters, Lil Nas X and Maggie Rogers will also perform.

Police Seize Mummy From Man Who Claims it is His Girflfiend

Police in Peru have seized a mummified human believed to be between 600 and 800 years old from a man that claims the mummy has been his girlfriend for over 30 years. And the mummy sleeps in his bed, he calls her Juanita.  His family bought the mummy for just over $500 and attempted to donate it to a museum, but they didn’t accept it.  The police arrested the man and took the mummy into custody.  The mummy has been identified as an “adult male individual” by Peru’s Ministry of Culture.  Peru has a rich archaeological history.  

Hotel Accidentally Shreds 42 British Students Passports

And 42 British students were stranded in New York City recently because their New Hampshire hotel accidentally shredded their passports.  The group of students had to apply for Emergency Travel Documents to finally fly home.  That cost them $180 a piece.  The hotel has not given any reason as to why the passports were shredded. The high school students were on a skiing trip in New Hampshire, they have all successfully made it home.
