Remember Mock Draft 1.0? Well, that all went out the window thanks to Howie Roseman and a huge draft picks trade between the Eagles and the New Orleans Saints! The Eagles now hold picks 15 and 18 in the 1st round of this year’s draft, while the Saints slot in at 16 and 19. The picks may have changed, but the question is the same: who do they draft? Jamie Lynch from the John Kincade Show is our draft specialist, so he was prepared for a possible trade scenario. Here is his SECOND mock draft of the year.

Here is how this will work: since the Eagles don’t pick until 15 still, Jamie will scratch off 12 names, then his mock will run from picks 13 to 18. Here’s how he sees those 6 picks shaking out:

  • The Consensus Top 12

Aidan Hutchinson, Travon Walker, Kayvon Thubeadeux, Sauce Gardner, Ikem Ekwonu, Evan Neal, Drake London, Garrett Wilson, Kyle Hamilton, Charles Cross, Jermaine Johnson, Derek Stingley…The Houston Texans are now on the clock

  • 13th Overall Pick: Houston Texans Select Trent McDuffie. CB - Washington

The Texans take a possibility for the Eagles off the board by going with a corner from Washington. Many Eagles fans will be relieved though having flashbacks of Sidney Jones still fresh in their memory.

  • 14th Overall Pick: Baltimore Ravens Select George Karalaftis. DE – Purdue

The Ravens select Karalaftis, one of the best edge rushers in the draft, at 14. Karalaftis was a Big 10 standout and figures to factor in well for the already strong Baltimore defense.

  • 15th Overall Pick: Philadelphia Eagles Select DeVonte Wyatt. DT - Georgia

The Philadelphia Eagles go to the National Champions and find some depth in the defensive line, but also a possible replacement for Fletcher Cox.

  • 16th Overall Pick: The New Orleans Saints Select Kenny Pickett. QB – Pittsburgh

The Saints traded up in their mega-deal with the Eagles, and they had a good reason why. With no apparent QB on the roster, the Saints use the 16th overall pick to bring in Kenny Pickett, making him the top QB picked in the draft.

  • 17th Overall Pick: The Los Angeles Chargers Select Trevor Penning. OT - Northern Iowa

The Eagles haven’t been linked to Penning, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t a target. You have to figure though that the Eagles know the needs of both teams drafting behind them so if they didn’t take Penning then he may not have been a top choice for them.

  • 18th Overall Pick: The Philadelphia Eagles Select Jameson Williams. WR - Alabama

He was one of the best WR’s in the nation this past year at Bama, if not THE best, prior to tearing his ACL in the National Championship game. The Eagles drafted a 1st round stud WR out of Bama last year in DeVonta Smith, and they repeat here by bringing in Williams.
