There is nothing better than heading to the ballpark. But that statement is VERY factual when the ballpark is Citizens Bank Park. We are very lucky to have such a premier ballpark in our city. One that is always looking to improve the fan experience and give you the most bang for your buck. One of the ways they do that is they always look to improve is giving new food options.

This year the Phillies announced that they are unveiling are; The burnt ends cheese steak from Bulls BBQ. Manco and Manco pizza. Wicked chicken nachos from PJ Whelihans. De-cased sausage, pepper, and onion sandwich from Pass and Stow. Peanut Butter and Bacon burger at Boardwalk Eats. Impossible Cheesesteak. Colbie’s Southern Kissed Chicken. And street nachos.

Our own food expert Jamie Lynch sat down and made his power rankings for the new items. Keep in mind Jamie hasnt actually eaten any of the items. We were not invited to the tasting by the Phillies and YES, we are bitter about that. But luckily for us Jamie has a super hero ability to read a description and know how the item will taste. So here are the power rankings

  • 8) Impossible Cheesesteak

You can find the Impossible cheesesteak behind section 125. For all you vegetarians and vegans, this is your go to spot. Jamie is neither. So when Jamie wants a cheesesteak he grabs a possible cheesesteak. Thus for the low ranking. It could be delicious, but for the meat eaters it is probably a skip.

  • 7) Street Nachos

You can grab the new street nachos behind section 139. Pickled red onions, jalapenos, cheese sauce, corn salsa and your choice of adobo chicken or Impossible meat. None of that sounds like a bad time. It does sound messy though so grab the napkins.

  • 6) Colbies Southern Kissed Chicken

dubbed “The best southern styled chicken sandwich” it now makes its Philadelphia debut behind section 120. Jamie would likely have it higher on the list had it not been for the mayo. Im sure you can get it without if that isnt your thing.

  • 5) Peanut Butter and Jelly Burger

I know, it sounds gross, but if you have ever had a peanut butter and jelly burger (add the bacon) its incredible. It doesnt make sense, but it tastes damn good. You can find this item at Boardwalk Eats right outside of Ashburn Alley

  • 4) De-cased Sausage, Pepper, and Onion Sandwich

If you want this item youll have to head to Pass & Stow. The gorgeous bar at the ballpark. But the Sausage, pepper and onion sandwich is one you can never go wrong with. Its just a safe bet.

  • 3) Wicked Chicken Nachos

This is one item that Jamie has had. The Wicked Chicken Nachos at PJ Whelihans is a go to item at the John kincade Show Happy Hours. Its incredible. Just great quality and it can be found at the PJ’s in Ashburn Alley

  • 2) Burnt Ends Cheesesteak

Burnt ends are great. Cheesesteaks are great. You combine the two and how could it be amazing. Add to the fact that Bulls BBQ has some of the best food at the ballpark and you truly have a recipe for success.

  • 1) Manco and Manco Pizza

For pure nostalgia purposes this is the winner. Cant make it to the shore on the weekend? Let the Phillies bring the shore to you! If you close your eyes you can almost get the feeling of being attacked by seagulls.
